Welcome Message
ASEAN-LHC 2025

Dear Esteemed Colleagues, Friends, and Partners,

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that we invite you to join us for the 5th ASEAN-LHC 2025 Conference, to be held on Sunday, 25th May – Monday, 26th May 2025, at the Centre for Healthcare Innovation Centre, Singapore.

The ASEAN Laparoscopic Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Council is dedicated to advancing the practice of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) in HPB across the ASEAN region. From its inception in Thailand, the Council has continued to grow, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the field.

This Conference will serve as a platform for:

  • Key opinion leaders to share expertise,
  • Early-career surgeons to gain valuable insights, and
  • HPB surgeons to explore the benefits of MIS.

Over two days, delegates will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, participate in focused learning, and engage with leaders and peers in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Key areas of discussion include latest updates in treatment options for diseases of the hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions. We will focus on key techniques of laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Our pre-congress workshop on the 24th of May 2025 will represent an opportunity for surgeon’s keen to pick up or refined their laparoscopic and robotic skills with small group hands on session (animal/ cadaveric) with our internationally renowned proctors. A highlight of the program will be a parallel full day special session, the 1st ASEAN HPB nursing symposium, for our nursing colleagues to share their experiences and challenges in managing complex HPB surgery patients.

In addition to the scientific sessions, this event provides a unique opportunity to connect with vendors and industry partners showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in HPB surgery. Our mission is to make this conference accessible to all by keeping participation costs low, ensuring the broadest possible reach across the region.

We also extend a special invitation to general surgeons, fellows and trainees interested in HPB surgery and MIS, as we strive to enhance its adoption and accessibility throughout ASEAN and beyond.

Your participation—whether as a delegate, sponsor, or exhibitor—will play a vital role in the success of ASEAN-LHC 2025, and we look forward to welcoming you to Singapore to share this meaningful experience together.

On behalf of the ASEAN Laparoscopic Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgery Council, the steering committee of the ASEAN Laparoscopic Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Conference (ASEAN LHC), it is my honor and pleasure to invite you to ASEAN LHC 5.0, which will be held on 25–26 May 2025 in Singapore.

The ASEAN LHC was first established in 2016 by visionary Thai HPB surgeons passionate about advancing minimally invasive approaches. Their goal was to create a robust network and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise in minimally invasive HPB surgery among surgeons across ASEAN. This year marks a particularly special milestone, as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our networking conference.

Participants at ASEAN LHC 5.0 will have the unique opportunity to gain cutting-edge insights and experiences from the world renowned experts in minimally invasive HPB surgery. Furthermore, we are thrilled to offer an exceptional Pre-Congress Workshop on Indocyanine Green (ICG)-Guided Anatomical Liver Resection, showcasing the latest advancements in precise laparoscopic hepatectomy techniques.

This year, we are excited to announce the First Nursing Symposium for HPB, which aims to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among nurses in the region. With free registration, this symposium warmly welcomes nurses from ASEAN countries to engage in discussions, gain valuable insights, and become part of the HPB surgical community.

We warmly invite you to join this special event and become an integral part of the ASEAN HPB surgical community. This conference promises to deliver fresh perspectives, foster collaborations, and inspire participants to explore the limitless possibilities of minimally invasive HPB surgery.

Beyond the professional enrichment, you will also have the chance to enjoy the vibrant beauty and culture of Singapore, making this event both educational and memorable.

We look forward to welcoming you to Singapore and sharing this landmark occasion with you!
